About these photos
The photos above have been carefully created based on the sites and size of the turbines proposed for Cragg Lot near Arkholme. Every care has been taken to keep these images accurate. The turbine sizes may seem to vary in the above photos partly due to where the photos were taken from and partly due to the degree of zoom applied. In all cases:
- wide angle reference shots were taken from each site
- distances from the proposed site measured on OS Pathfinder maps
- visual height (pixel height) of the Cragg Lot turbines determined based on comparison to the known visual height of the turbines at Caton Moor (at a known distance).
The area of visual impact these turbines will have stretches from the Lake District
and Morecambe Bay all the way past Ingleton into the Yorkshire Dales. In the Lune
Valley where their impact will be felt most, they will be visible way up the valley
past Kirkby Lonsdale. Direct views of the entire site will be visible from many villages
up the valley -
